4.10.16 White: Autoplay series

Activating this option will cause the program to start an autoplay series. The results of these games will be written automatically into the current database.

Because the program offers the possibility of loading different engines you can for instance have white play like Rebel and black like Rebel Decade. Or take equal engines but different opening books which is an easy way of testing different books!

• the program will take care that each "player" plays the same amount of games with white as with black.
• you can stop autoplay by activating this item again in the pull-down or by pressing <ESC>
• in the database the configuration of both players will be saved in a short way analogous to the settings in the menu.
  An example:
  "R0,n,n,4,N,S,y,y,y-R9,y,n,N,N,S,y,y,y
  0.5-1.5 0/1/1 (0) REBEL.MVS+PETER.RBM<>REBEL.MVS+NEW.RBM"
  means:
  
  • white used Rebel Century engine, "System Tiger" was off, combination off, selection on 4, playing style was Normal, playing strength Strong, normal book on, tournament book on and user book on
  • black used Rebel 9 engine, "System Tiger" on etc.
  • score after this game 0.5-1.5, none won by white, one draw, one lost, no double games
  • white used REBEL.MVS and PETER.RBM and black used REBEL.MVS and NEW.RBM for opening book.
