In starting the program REBEL.EXE, you can use several calling parameters:

S | don't show the Rebel startup screen. |
V | bypass the VESA mode (in case of problems with VESA VGA cards) |
W | limit the hash table to 256 kb |
W1 | limit the hash table to 512 kb |
W2 | limit the hash table to 1 Mb |
W3 | limit the hash table to 2 Mb |
W4 | limit the hash table to 4 Mb |
W5 | limit the hash table to 13 Mb |
W6 | limit the hash table to 28 Mb |

The Rebel startup screen will be skipped |
If none of the W parameters (W, W1, ..., W9) is used, a size of 4 Mb for the hashtables is used (i.e. W4).
The hash table limitations are added to avoid swap delays in a Windows environment.
Note
You can use several of the options in starting Rebel, e.g.
starts Rebel in the "no VESA" mode, avoiding the Rebel startup screen and limiting the hashtable size to 13 Mb.
