C.3.7 Windows 95/98 (F8 trick)

• Start / Restart your computer.
• Press F8 as soon as "Starting Windows 95/98" appears.
• Select -MSDOS SAFE- mode from the menu.
• Load your mouse driver (MOUSE.COM, LH MOUSE etc.)
• Start the program with REBEL.EXE from the CENTURY directory.

You have started Rebel with the strongest settings. Rebel averages 5% faster because of the lack of Windows. This also allows Rebel to play with the biggest hash table possible. We believe it makes Rebel 5-10 ELO points stronger. In general we do not recommend this option because of the lack of user comfort, but finally it's up to you to decide on that.
